Every page names its author

Quick answer

Searlixa content is written and directed by Shrawan Swami, founder. His background is published and checkable.

We publish authorship so you know who made a claim and can weigh it, not as a ranking tactic. Bylines showed no stable independent citation advantage in 2026 research, and we would rather say so than sell the myth.

Key takeaways

  • One author, named and checkable. LinkedIn linked, work history published.
  • Commercial interest is disclosed on the page where a finding supports something we sell. It often does.
  • Corrections carry a dated note, never edited out silently.
  • Research needs a reviewer separate from the author before it publishes. That is why the AI Visibility Index is a published protocol with no data yet.
  • Every figure on this site is third-party research, labelled and sourced.
  • This index grows when real contributors join, not before.

Author

Shrawan Swami

Founder  ·  Jaipur, India  ·  LinkedIn  ·  Background

Writes on: AI visibility measurement, answer engine and generative engine optimisation, entity resolution, technical search, and the line between what is genuinely new in AI search and what is search work under a new name.

Declared interest: he founded and runs Searlixa.

How we handle claims

  • Every figure carries an evidence label. Verified, Observed, Estimated, Demo or Updated. An unlabelled number does not publish.
  • Sources are named on the page, not gestured at. You can check the reasoning rather than trust it.
  • Corrections are published with a dated note. We do not quietly rewrite a claim and leave the page looking unchanged.
  • Commercial interest is stated where a finding supports something we sell.

The standard research has to meet

Research is held to a higher bar than the rest of the site. Our publication standard requires a named author and a reviewer who is a different person, checking the dataset, the coding rules and every claim carrying a Verified or Observed label.

That is why the AI Visibility Index is a published protocol with no data behind it. Publishing the method before collecting the data was deliberate. Publishing findings before the review is in place would not be.

Why we publish authorship at all

Author bylines are widely recommended as a way to improve visibility in AI answers. We want to be precise about that. In a 2026 analysis of 1,645 AI citations, bylines appeared on roughly 70% of cited pages but showed no stable independent advantage once other factors were accounted for.

So we do not present authorship as a ranking tactic. We publish it because a reader deserves to know who made a claim, and because entity clarity helps both search engines and language models resolve who Searlixa is. Those are the honest reasons.

The same thinking produced a page written for AI assistants, setting out our canonical facts so a model describing us has something accurate to draw on. It is the fix we sell, applied to ourselves.

02Common questions

Questions about authorship

Who writes Searlixa content?

Shrawan Swami, founder. Every page on this site is written or directed by him, which is why he is the only name on this index. When other contributors join, they appear here with their own background.

Why does the author matter?

So you know who made a claim and can weigh it. It also helps search engines and language models resolve who Searlixa is, which is the same entity work we do for clients.

Does a byline improve AI citations?

Less than commonly claimed. In a 2026 analysis of 1,645 AI citations, bylines appeared on around 70% of cited pages but showed no stable independent advantage once other factors were accounted for. We publish authorship for accountability, not as a tactic.

How are corrections handled?

Published with a dated note describing what changed. We do not edit a claim out of a page and leave it looking as though it always said the new thing.

Do you disclose commercial interest?

Yes, on the page. Where a finding supports something Searlixa sells, which it often does, that is stated rather than left for you to notice.

When will research appear here?

When it meets the publication standard, which includes a reviewer separate from the author. The AI Visibility Index protocol is published and the data collection has not started.

Sources

Every figure on this page comes from one of the following. Where a claim is ours rather than a source’s, it carries an evidence label instead.

  1. Rankability — State of AI Search, 1,645 AI citation observations, 2026. Source for the finding that bylines appeared on roughly 70% of cited pages with no stable independent advantage. Independent study
  2. Searlixa research publication standard. Our own
